Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, and Glen Powell Will Headline Top Gun 3

Paramount has greenlit a third installment of Top Gun, with the original cast slated to return.

Ehren Kruger, who co-wrote Top Gun: Maverick, will write the script, while Joe Kosinski will return as director, according to Puck.

Jerry Bruckheiner and David Ellison will return as producers, and Tom Cruise is expected to reconvene with Miles Teller and Glen Powell for the upcoming project following their 2022 collaboration.

Aside from the probable movie, the actor is presently filming the eighth installment of Mission: Impossible for the streaming service.

He also partnered with NASA to produce an outer space picture at Universal. Project details are currently being kept under wraps.

Cruis just inked a contract with Warner Bros. Discovery to feature in and create films for the studio.

Top Gun: Maverick arrived at the global box office with an impressive $1.5 billion, making it Cruise’s highest-grossing picture to date.

Director Steven Spielberg will praise the Jack Reacher star for reviving the movie industry after a dark COVID-19 era.

It also became Cruise’s highest-grossing picture to date. Last year, Maverick received six Academy Award nominations and won one for Best Sound.
