Tom Cruise’s ‘Rare Support’ for Agent Fired for Political Remarks

Tom Cruise defended his longtime agent, Maha Dakhil, after she was sacked for expressing her views on a current war in the Middle East.

Dakhil, the Creative Artists Agency’s acting co-chief of the motion pictures department, had shared some posts on her personal Instagram account.

“What’s more heartbreaking than witnessing genocide? Witnessing the denial that genocide is happening,” stated one of the reposts.

The posts were widely distributed throughout the industry, prompting widespread condemnation. Dakhil then apologized before removing the posts and making her account private, according to Variety.

According to a credible source, Cruise went out of his way to demonstrate his support for his troubled agency.

According to the site, the Mission Impossible star, 61, saved Dakhil’s career by showing his support. Cruise’made it known to CAA that he was backing her’ and met with Dakhil last week at her CAA office.

Furthermore, numerous CAA aides threatened to quit over the agency’s treatment of her, according to the insider. While some personnel were ‘disillusioned’ because they believed Dakhil’should have been sacked’ for her posts.
