Tomlin indefinitely suspended from K-State Men’s Basketball team

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KWCH) – Kansas State University Head Men’s Basketball Coach Jerome Tang on Monday, Oct. 30, announced he’s indefinitely suspended one of the program’s top players. The announcement follows Nae’Qwan Tomlin’s arrest early Sunday morning after a fight at a Manhattan sports bar.

Tomlin was arrested for disorderly conduct: brawling or fighting, the Riley County Police Department arrest report said.

“I have indefinitely suspended [Tomlin] for not living up to the expectations we require of our players,” Tang said. “Although he is not with the team, he is still part of our family, and we will do what can to support him as he moves through this process.”

Tomlin opted to return for his senior season after going through the NBA Draft process this summer. Last year, he started all 36 games for the Wildcats, averaging 10.4 points.
