Actress Tori Spelling faced an unsettling situation when she had to evacuate her Los Angeles rental home due to a neighbor’s armed standoff with an AR-15 assault weapon and a reported hostage.
Police were involved, and the armed neighbor was eventually arrested by a SWAT team.
Spelling was seen leaving her home on Wednesday in a distressed state, wearing casual attire.
A difficult year for Tori Spelling
This incident follows a series of housing challenges for the famous TV actress, who starred in ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’.
In May, she revealed a mold problem in her home that had made her children sick.
She shared images of her children in the hospital, indicating that they had been continuously ill for months.
An inspection revealed severe mold, leading to the home being deemed uninhabitable.
Spelling and her five children initially relocated to a 100-dollar-per-night motel, and then they transitioned to living in an RV.
Spelling‘s estranged husband, Dean McDermott, reportedly believed she was doing it for sympathy and was angry about the living situation.
Family friends expressed concern for Spelling. However, her brother, Randy, had a more positive perspective, emphasizing her creativity, strength and resilience.
“Some people where I live would say being in an RV would be a vacation, but then it gets sort of thrown out that there’s homelessness,” Randy noted.
“She’s doing wonderful. One thing I’ll say about Tori is she’s creative, she’s inventive, she’s strong, and she’s resilient.
“We all struggle at times, and she’s finding her way. She’s doing well right now.”
Spelling‘s housing troubles have coincided with difficulties in her relationship with McDermott, making this year challenging for the actress.
