Tory Lanez Was Given a 10-Year Term for the Shooting Case of Megan Thee Stallion

Tory Lanez will spend 10 years in prison starting in 2020 because of a shooting that involved Megan Thee Stallion.

On Wednesday, court reporter Meghann Cuniff told everyone on Twitter what the decision was. She wrote, “Tory spoke for several minutes. He said he still cares about Megan. He called her ‘someone I still care for dearly to this day’ regardless of what she may think of him.”

Cuniff says that the disgraced rapper told the judge, “The victim’s my friend,” and then went on to talk incoherently about how he and Megan had become close after both of their moms died.

He also said, “I said some very immature things that I shouldn’t have said. I revealed some secrets I shouldn’t have revealed.”

Lanez was found guilty of killing his ex-girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion in the feet during a fight in the parking lot of Kylie Jenner’s party in 2020.

He was found guilty of many things, such as having a loaded, unregistered gun in a car, attacking someone with a semiautomatic gun, and firing a gun with a lot of carelessness.

In a letter to the court, the Savage rapper said she couldn’t go to the hearing on Monday because she couldn’t bear to relive the pain of that night.

Megan wrote about Lanez, “He not only shot me, he made a mockery of my trauma. He tried to position himself as a victim and set out to destroy my character and my soul.”

She told the judge that the rapper should be “forced to face the full consequences of his heinous actions and face justice.”
