Town by Town: 911 dispatcher graduation ceremony, proclamation to honor tennis player

(WGGB/WSHM) – Town by town is taking you to Springfield and Chicopee.

A special 911 dispatcher graduation ceremony was held early Tuesday in Springfield.

The ceremony for the Springfield Emergency Communications office was held at the Raymond A. Jordan Senior Center at 10 a.m.

Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno, as well as Fire Commissioner BJ Calvi and Deputy Fire Chief David Wells were all in attendance for the event.

Lastly, the city of Chicopee honored tennis player Ahmed Faisel.

Faisel was honored with a proclamation in recognition of his exceptional tennis journey.

He started his journey during his senior year at Chicopee High School.

Since then, he’s gone on to earn a silver medal at the national tennis tournament in Arizona.

Tuesday’s event took place at Chicopee City Hall at 10 a.m.
