The Tracy Arts Commission has opened a recruitment to fill two openings on the board. The application window will close on Thursday, December 14, at 6 p.m.
The recruitment is for the seats currently held by commissioners Maxine Lees and Cynthia Reis, whose terms expire at the end of the year. Both are eligible for reappointment.
The commission promotes the growth of arts and cultural programs in the community while pursuing funding for the development of programs and facilities and maintaining an active representation of the community’s art and culture. The commission also performs other arts-related duties and functions as the Tracy City Council may direct.
The commission meets on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. To qualify to serve on the board, applicants must reside in Tracy and may not be officials or employees of the city. If a member collects four unexcused absences from meetings, their position on the Commission will become vacant.
Application forms are available at the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall located at 333 Civic Center Plaza or www.cityoftracy.org. Call (209) 831-6105 for more information.
