Tragic Episodes Honoring the Late Jacklyn Zeman to Air on ‘General Hospital’

In heartbreaking episodes slated to air next year, General Hospital will pay tribute to the late Jacklyn Zeman.

On episodes launching the week of January 10, the show’s regulars and guests will gather in Port Charles to pay tribute to Zeman’s character Bobbie Spencer.

Zeman, who first appeared as Bobbie on the ABC serial in 1977, died in May of cancer.

To celebrate the character, Kristen Storms, Genie Franciss, Rebecca Herbst, Laura Wright, and others will make cameo appearances.

Wright raved to People about the emotional atmosphere on the set of the memorial. “When we shot the memorial, the entire cast was there. And it wasn’t just for Bobbie; it was for Jackie as well,” she explained.

“I mean, walking on set and seeing her photo, seeing all the pamphlets of like when you come to a memorial or a celebration of life, the pamphlet speaking about the individual and who is going to speak, it was bittersweet,” she went on to say.

“It was about Jackie and everyone was so present. … It was like we as a cast got to really say goodbye,” the actress added.

The Emmy-winning show airs on ABC during the week.
