Travis Kelce Tells Who Taylor Swift’s Love Gesture Was Actually Intended For

After earning headlines for imitating his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s iconic heart hands gesture during Sunday’s win over the Buffalo Bills, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed what drove him to do so.

On Wednesday’s episode of his New Heights podcast, Travis revealed that the sign was not necessarily intended for his international pop phenomenon girlfriend, who was cheering him on from the stands.

Instead, the NFL player explained that the gesture was intended for Bills supporters, who had “understandably” greeted him with “a lot of hate” and began booing him upon arrival.

“Yeah, man, had to spread the love baby,” Travis informed his co-host and brother Jason. “Always got to spread that love, baby.”

Jason went on to explain that, while he understood the competitive aspect of the game, things got a little out of control at Highmark Stadium in New York, the Bills’ home ground.

“The Bills, coming into their house, they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? 1,000%. 1,000%. Did they get a little extra? 1,000%,” he added.

However, Travis refused to go into detail about what was said, simply mentioning that “some things were said about the family, some pretty inappropriate things were said about [teammate Patrick] Mahomes.”

Despite the hostility, Travis wanted to let Bills fans know “it wasn’t mutual,” so he used the gesture.
