Travis Kelce seemed to be winning in life.

After winning the Super Bowl, the NFL star earned Athlete of the Year at the People’s Choice Awards on Sunday, February 18, 2024, following a six-month courtship with Taylor Swift.

Kelce, 34, was not present at the Barker Hangar Awards Ceremony in Santa Monica, California.

He was nominated for the honor alongside Coco Gauff, Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, Sabrina Ionescu, Simone Biles, and Stephen Curry.

Taylor Swift, Kelce’s girlfriend, got four of her five nominations on Sunday, but she was unable to attend the ceremony due to her Eras Tour performance in Australia.

Things appear to be going well for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end after starting a relationship with the Bad Blood singer, and the player is finding it difficult to believe.

Kelce responded to his nomination in January by calling it “f-king nonsense” on his New Heights podcast.

“What did I get Athlete of the Year? “I did SNL,” he joked at the time. “How am I on this [list]?”

Many fans believe that, in addition to his talent as a tight end, Kelce’s romance with 34-year-old Swift, which began last summer, has helped him achieve prominence and contributed to his success.

The pop sensation was in Las Vegas on February 11, when Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs won their second Super Bowl in a row.
