We’re always on the hunt for nifty kitchen appliances, cookware and gadgets that will save time and make cooking much easier at home. From busy mums cooking for the entire family to kitchen klutzes, who doesn’t love a shortcut in the kitchen that would save time, money or effort?
And that’s why BloomrSG creator Celine Leong (@moochihehe), who “doesn’t like cooking”, tried out three kitchen gadgets that “are supposed to turn me into a decent cook” on a recent episode of YouTube series GRWM.
Her task: To make a vegetable pancake. It’s a simple snack that “looks like one of those Korean street snacks” and is suitable for parents with picky kids who don’t like veggies, Celine reckoned.
First up, she used a multi-functional vegetable chopper (which can be used in a whopping 12 different ways, by the way) to slice and dice carrots and potatoes. “Normally when I shred carrots, I use a cheese grater and it requires a lot of strength and arm work. but this one is [doing it] so fast,” she said.
