Even though the 2024 presidential election is still over 600 days away, Donald Trump is already sowing the seeds of doubt about the legitimacy of the national vote. “Crooked Democrat Prosecutors, many of whom are Reverse Racists, are attempting to steal a second Presidential Election,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform late Sunday. “They did it in 2020, and we will not allow them to do it in 2024. MAGA!!!” The former president’s remarks were made hours after his defense counsel stated that they had “lost 100 percent trust” in the Georgia investigation into Trump’s apparent efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. In response to grand jury foreperson Emily Kohrs’ media comments, Trump attorney Drew Findling stated on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday that the “process has been compromised.”
