Trump also attacked other members of the right in the same letter, calling out “FoxNews destroying lightweight Paul Ryan” and “Low Energy Jeb Bush.” Trump recently made an effort to criticize DeSantis’ management of the coronavirus pandemic, particularly on Florida’s choice to lock down during the outbreak’s peak and the state’s drive for more “testing, testing, testing.” Since then, DeSantis has moved to outlaw some COVID safety measures, such as removing mask regulations from workplaces and educational institutions.
