Twisters Will Star Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones

Twisters is a new movie from Universal and Amblin Entertainment. It is a sequel to the movie Twister, which came out in 1996.

Deadline says that Lee Isaac Chung will direct the movie, which will be based on a script by Mark L. Smith and come out on July 19, 2024.

The news source said that the first Twister movie made $500 million at the box office and was nominated for Oscars in visual effects and sound categories. Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton, Carey Elwes, and Philip Seymour Hoffman were all in the cast of the movie.

The plot of the new Twisters movie, which is being called a “new chapter” of the 1996 film, is still “a secret.”

It’s important to know that Warner Bros. Pictures, Frank Marshall, and Pat Crowley will help pay for Twisters. Also, Universal’s executive vice president of production, Sara Scott, and creative executive, Jacqueline Garell, will be in charge of the production for the studio.

Powell will also be seen in the new movie Hitman, which he helped to write and make. Aside from that, the actor is also working on Sony’s untitled Will Gluck romantic comedy with Sydney Sweeney, who starred in Euphoria.
