Two vehicles caught fire near a home in Durham early Sunday morning.

A person was inside one of the vehicles while it was on fire, and one of the cars appeared to be flipped upside down.

A police officer told WRAL News the person made it out of the burning car before police arrived. Both cars were damaged. and one was severely burned.

The scene was near Carpenter Fletcher Road and Barbee Road.

WRAL News is still working to learn what happened to cause the fire and whether or not anyone is injured.
