The Aiken County Planning and Development Department is reviewing plans to build two chain restaurants in the Graniteville area.
The proposed location of an Arby’s fast food restaurant and a Starbucks coffee house is an approximately 2-acre parcel on the busy Bettis Academy Road corridor just south of Exit 11 on Interstate 20. It is near a QuikTrip convenience store.
Documents filed with the Planning and Development Department identify the owner/developer as Capital Development of Columbia.
Gaskins + LeCraw of Duluth, Georgia, is providing civil engineering services.
The Arby’s building will be around 2,900 square feet in size, according to the plans. There also will be a drive-thru and 28 parking places.
The Starbucks structure will be approximately 2,500 square feet. There also will be a drive-thru and 25 parking spaces.
There currently are no Arby’s or Starbucks locations in Graniteville.
