U2’s Sphere Residency in Las Vegas Gets an Upgrade


U2 decided to prolong the length of their concert in Las Vegas. U2: Live Performance of Achtung Baby at Sphere.

After playing their first complete live shows since 2019 and the first nine shows of their residency at the unique venue, the band made the announcement on Thursday that they will be performing an additional 11 gigs in the year 2024. There have been 36 performances thus far throughout the residency.

It is planned that the band’s main vocalist Bono, guitarist The Edge, bassist Adam Clayton, and drummer Bram van den Berg will perform live once again on January 26, 2024. The conclusion of the run is scheduled for February 18th.

The band has not embarked on a significant tour in the past four years prior to their residency at the MSG Sphere. The band will be performing songs from all over their discography, including fan favorites such as “One,” “Beautiful Day,” and “With or Without You.”

The Madison Square Garden Sphere will be a venue that is on the cutting edge of technology when it is finished being built. When it finally opens in 2023, it will be the arena with the most spherical surface area in the entire world.

Since there has been such an enormous demand for tickets to the residency, the dates have been extended. The band’s initial series of nine shows sold out in a matter of minutes.
