UIS’ Innovate Springfield to host discussion on “The Next Technology Revolution”


Innovate Springfield, the University of Illinois Springfield’s downtown business incubator, and the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln will present a conversation on “The Next Technology Revolution” with Springfield native Cully Davis, vice chairman for equity private markets at Jeffries.

The event takes place on Tuesday, November 7th from 7:30 a.m.-9 a.m. at the Memorial Learning Center located at 228 W. Miller Street in Springfield, Ill.

Jeffries will discuss how Springfield can capitalize on future technological advancements and opportunities.

Davis has helped to transform the modern tech sector. He has worked with businesses including Google, Groupon, Lyft, Alibaba, Baidu, Box, Kite Pharma, MicroStrategy, NetSuite, NXP Semiconductors, Palantir, Splunk and SunPower.

He will make remarks about current advances in the technology sector, which will be followed by an open Q&A to continue discussing critical advances.

While the event is free and open to the public, anyone wanting to attend must register.
