Late Friday, there was a report of an active shooter on the University of Oklahoma campus. This caused officials to send out a frantic alert telling students to “run” and “hide.” “Someone is shooting at the Van Vleet Oval right now. Do something right away. “Run, hide, and fight!” the university tweeted as a warning. No other information was available right away. The university police told The Daily Beast that they were looking into the matter but couldn’t say anything else. A police communications worker didn’t answer our questions right away.
