USDA invests $46M in efforts to address food, nutrition security


WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced an investment of more than $46 million in projects aimed to tackle food and nutrition insecurity in underserved communities, as well as support healthy diets by providing access to fruits and vegetables for eligible families.

These funds support efforts across the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture’s (NIFA) Community Food Projects Competitive Grants Program (CFPCGP) and Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program (GusNIP).
