LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Utah State men’s tennis’ juniors David Martirosian, Sergi Micó Fenollar, and sophomore Nuno Pinheiro competed in singles and doubles matches at the UNLV-hosted Easley Memorial Invite on Sunday.
In doubles play, Martirosian and Pinheiro participated in an extra match where UNLV’s Anton Ornberg and Jackson Atherton defeated the Aggie team, 7-5.
In the final match of the Easley Consolation Draw, Fenollar defeated UNLV sophomore Dusan Rsovac in a 6-3, 7-5 straight-set victory for the consolation title.
Pinheiro was defeated by Louisiana senior Oriol Fillat Gimenez, 6-1, 6-1, in the seventh-place match of the Easley Consolation Draw.
Martirosian took part in an extra match where he beat Idaho State sophomore JW Altman in a 6-4, 7-6 second-set tiebreaker.
This tournament concludes Utah State’s fall tournament season.
