
LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Utah State men’s tennis’ juniors David Martirosian, Sergi Micó Fenollar and sophomore Nuno Pinheiro competed in singles and doubles matches at the UNLV-hosted Easley Memorial Invite on Saturday.
In doubles play, Martirosian and Pinheiro participated in an extra match where Idaho State’s JW Altman and UNLV’s Creed Skinner paired up and defeated the Aggie team, 7-5.
In the semifinal matches of the Easley Consolation Draw, Fenollar defeated Louisiana senior Oriol Fillat Gimenez in a 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 tiebreaker battle to advance to the consolation finals.
In the same draw, Pinheiro was defeated by UNLV sophomore Dusan Rsovac, 7-5, 6-2.
Martirosian competed in the Scarlet Consolation Draw where he was defeated, 6-4, 6-0, by Idaho State senior Wikus Robbertse.
Utah State men’s tennis continues play at the Easley Memorial Invite on Sunday, Nov. 5.
