SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah State women’s tennis’ junior Indya Nespor, senior Lisa Küng, and fifth-year Zeynep Naz Ozturk competed in a round of singles at the ITA Mountain Regionals on Friday.
In the quarterfinal of the B Draw, Nespor’s win streak came to an end as she was defeated by Utah freshman Emma Kamper, 6-3, 6-4.
Küng competed in the round of 64 main draw consolation match where she beat Boise State redshirt sophomore Lorelyz Marruffo in a 6-2, 6-3 straight-set victory.
Also competing in the main draw consolation bracket, Ozturk took her round of 64 match in a 7-5, 3-6, 10-8 win over Colorado’s Pia Rebec.
Utah State women’s tennis continues play at the ITA Mountain Regionals on Saturday, Oct. 21.
