UWEC Viennese Ball waltzes into its 49th year

EAU CLAIRE — For almost five decades, it has been a yearly tradition to go to UW-Eau Claire and enjoy the grandeur and elegance of a ball in the Viennese style. And soon the ball will return for its 49th year.

The event started in 1970, when community members submitted the idea of the ball to the university. One of these was a member of the University Symphony Orchestra, Ada Bors, who was inspired by a night of listening to waltz music by candlelight in Vienna.
