The first edition of VAiF – Visual Arts International Festival will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece, from November 9th to 29th.
Overview
The festival hosts a wide range of events, such as photography, graphic design, and book exhibitions, as well as workshops and talks by renowned artists and professionals in the field.
The VAiF, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Region of Central Macedonia, aims to become a significant institution for applied arts in Greece, showcasing photography, graphic design, and video, and attracting creators from both Greece and abroad.
The festival includes a rich program with photography and graphic design exhibitions, documentary screenings, talks and presentations by distinguished artists, as well as educational programs for the public. The opening event of VAiF24, titled VAiF Opening & Artists’ Talk, will take place on November 9th at 7:00 PM in the Thessaloniki Regional Council Hall (opposite Jumbo Limani) and will include the presentation of the festival, artist talks, and a tour of exhibitions.
The festival is organized by the non-profit association Creative Factor and is supported by important partners, such as the National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation, the Department of Photography of the University of Western Attica (PA.DA.), the Photometria International Photography Festival, the EVGE (Greek Design Awards for Visual Communication), and the FotoFabrika Festival of Bulgaria.
Thanks to the cooperation with sponsors and local government, VAiF24 aims to be a hub of cultural development, attracting visitors and artists from all over Greece and abroad.
