Team Canada women’s beach volleyball athletes will be hitting the sand in style at the 2024 Paris Olympics thanks to a Vancouver-based company.

Left On Friday revealed the uniforms for the players, which include sporty bikini tops, cropped tees and low-rise bottoms in white and red with a touch of deep burgundy. Created in collaboration with the Canadian athletes, the collection features a one-shoulder bikini top style that allows for free shoulder movement for the player’s serving arm while also offering chest support.

“Our swimwear is extremely technical when it comes to fabric, fit and function, so we already had a great foundation to work from,” co-founder Shannon Savage said in a news release. “When approaching the uniforms, we had two key priorities: it was important that we deliver on the promise of comfort, which would in turn allow the athletes to focus entirely on their performance. Secondly, we want them to stand out in their big moment.”

The swimwear and lifestyle brand, founded by two former Lululemon executives, Savage and Laura Low Ah Kee, has been sponsoring the Canadian national women’s beach volleyball team since 2022. The ongoing partnership, the co-founders say, fits Left On Friday’s overarching goal to provide solutions for those with an “active beach lifestyle.”

“It’s been a dream come true to support and work with Volleyball Canada to design uniforms that are not only meant to enhance and support elite athletes’ performance, but also look good while doing it,” Low Ah Kee says. “We can’t wait to see them in action on the world’s biggest stage this summer.”

The local company’s reveal comes on the heels of the Team Canada ceremony styles showcased by Lululemon last week. The Vancouver-headquartered company created three ‘kits’ for Team Canada athletes to wear during the opening ceremony, podium and closing ceremonies.
