Vanessa Hudgens was aware that Swifties were detecting some clear parallels between Taylor Swift’s Love Story and Travis Kelce’s High School Musical.

Swift and Kelce’s relationship was recently compared to the plot of the Disney Channel franchise by a user on X, the network that was last known as Twitter.

“The chiefs game and the Golden Globes being within hours of each other reminds me when Troy and Gabriella had the basketball game and the academic decathlon at the same time as the audition for the school musical,” the Twitter account @TheLuckyMia posted on January 7.

Hudgens saw a tweet on Instagram last week that piqued her interest. The 35-year-old wrote, “Hilarious,” in response to an Entertainment Tonight report.

Swift was frequently seen at Kansas City Chiefs games in 2023, cheering on her boyfriend Kelce. However, on January 7, she did not attend Kelce’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Instead, she attended the 81st Golden Globe Awards, where her film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, received nominations for its cinematic and box commercial success.

High School Musical began on the Disney Channel in 2006. The plot revolves around Gabriella Montez (Hudgens), a bright student, and Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), a famous athlete, as they fall in love.
