Social media posts showed deal-hungry shoppers lining the waterfront from the convention centre’s doors well into the heart of Coal Harbour in the early hours of the morning.
Deanna Woo, a digital creator, arrived at 7:30 a.m. to join the lineup. By 10 a.m., she had yet to enter the sale.
“I’m still waiting!” she shared via Instagram message.
The Vancouver-headquartered company’s annual warehouse sale sees its wares, which include women’s clothing and accessories, discounted 50-90 per cent off retail. A shopping event that’s exclusive to Vancouver, the sale often draws shoppers from across B.C. and beyond.
Inside the sale, the organized chaos synonymous with the Aritzia Warehouse Sale was in full swing. Crowds of shoppers moved through the sale to the thundering beat of a live DJ.
Groups of shoppers swarmed rolling racks of puffer coats, TNA bike shorts, and more, dragging green woven bags by the straps, some chained together to create a train of discounted discoveries.

“The trick is, you don’t come right when it opens,” she said, noting she waited in line for about an hour. “Because, right when it opens, there’s a huge line. But then it dies down. And they restock throughout the day.”
Shopping the sale since her high school days, Domingo suggests coming with a plan.
“I came looking for jackets,” she said. “And I have two full bags!”
The seven-day sale is forecast to see thousands of shoppers attend by its end.
