AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A car carrier fire has caused a traffic snag on Interstate 20 near the state line just after 11 p.m. on Monday.

Richmond County dispatch says the fire was reported at 10:53 p.m. Officials say the call was reported with no injuries.

Witnesses tell News 12 that at least four vehicles on the carrier caught fire heading into South Carolina.

Richmond County deputies are directing traffic down Exit 199.
