EAST TAWAS – Witz End Players, Inc. (WE) will present Almost, Maine, a humorous and captivating theatrical experience that will transport the audience into another world.
Written by John Cariani, Almost, Maine is a heartwarming play composed of nine short vignettes that explore love, connection, and the complexities of human relationships in the fictional town of Almost, Maine. Set against the backdrop of a cold, starry winter’s night, the play weaves together stories of unexpected encounters, missed opportunities and the magic of love’s transformative power.
Audiences will be swept up in a tale filled with intrigue, emotion and unforgettable characters that are brought to life by the ensemble cast.
Almost, Maine promises to be another memorable theatrical event directed by Melissa Street, whose previous work includes the pop musical Emma in 2023. With its blend of drama, humor and heart, this production will resonate with audiences of all ages.
“We’re thrilled to bring Almost, Maine to life on the stage,” says Nick Serda, an actor for WE Players. “This is a story that speaks to the universal human experience, and we can’t wait to share it with our community.”
Almost, Maine will run at the Tawas Bay Playhouse located at 401 Newman St. in East Tawas from Feb. 23 to March 3. Showtimes on Friday and Saturday evenings are at 7 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m.
