It’s easy to get caught up in the “more-is-more” mentality, but minimalists know that you don’t need a ton of stuff for a space to look good—you just need the right stuff. This is the ethos behind West Elm’s newest designer collaboration. The furniture and home decor brand partnered with Brooklyn-based interior designer Billy Cotton to launch a capsule collection full of useful but high design objects. “We designed 25 pieces that people interact with daily—from your bed to your cereal bowl and dining chairs, these very high-touch objects, and approached them intending to blend beauty and practicality,” Cotton says.
The pieces are all about elevating the every day to give homeowners items that are, essentially, functional pieces of art. Some of these objects tend to go under the radar in our homes (how much thought have you given your coasters?), and we love that we’re finally giving a little more love to these oft-ignored items. Check out a few of our favorites below and you might just get inspired to elevate the every day products in your own home.
