The West Norriton Arts & Culture Commission is sponsoring its second Community Art Exhibition with a reception on Friday, November 22 from 5 p.m. to 7p.m. at the Jeffersonville Golf Course Clubhouse, 2400 W. Main Street, West Norriton. The featured artist is Susan E. Klinger.
Open to the public, the event will include live music provided by cellist Sachino Tsinadze and violinist Larry Major. While viewing the art, guests can enjoy food prepared by the kitchen staff at the Golf Club. Admission is free.
About the Artist
Ms. Klinger taught fine art at Perkiomen Valley High School in Collegeville, for 34 years until her retirement and was also the dual credit instructor in drawing and painting for Montgomery County Community College. She has served as an adjunct instructor at Cabrini College and taught painting workshops for adults. Currently she is teaching art privately. The Arts & Culture Commission is one of the Township’s active committees and its mission is to develop and deliver cultural arts programs, art in public spaces, and consistent aesthetic sensibilities for the benefit of the residents of West Norriton Township. The creative arts include art, music, theater, dance and more.
One of its annual projects is the Sunday afternoon concert of opera and showtunes featuring Academy of Vocal Arts performers. This year, the concert will be on February 9, 2025 at the Reformed Church of the Ascension in Jeffersonville.
