Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) today announces a host of new signings at Westfield London, as the centre builds on its beauty and wellness, fashion, leisure, and F&B offer.
Continued growth across key categories
The centre’s beauty and wellness offer goes from strength to strength with the introduction of London’s leading private pharmacy group, Prince Pharmacy, which is set to open its doors later this year in Q4 (3,345 sq ft)
A new retail addition in the beauty space includes the first standalone Bath & Body Works store in London. The new 2,357sq ft store, which will be home to the brand’s premium range of lifestyle care products and home fragrance, is set to open in April directly opposite Sephora. This builds on a host of successful store openings and expansions over the last year, which include Sephora’s first UK store, Space NK, Rituals and PureSeoul.
Kate Orwin, leasing director UK at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, commented: “We’ve experienced a strong year so far in leasing at Westfield London, with increasing demand for upsizing and new store space as brands look to expand in strategic locations. This momentum builds upon the success of 2023, during which we welcomed over 80 new store openings across both Westfield centres. We anticipate further growth in the beauty, medical and wellness sectors throughout this year, as we continue in our commitment to creating best in class destinations and exceptional customer experiences.”
The growth continues in fashion and footwear, as new upsizes build on a trend of retailers seeking to grow their physical store presence in the right locations. These include Uniqlo, which is currently undergoing works to expand its existing store and Europe’s largest shoe retailer, Deichmann which is upsizing from 5,108sq ft to 7,389sq ft and will be situated in the West Mall. Adding to this, men’s fashion brand Dan John (2,516 sq ft) and women’s fashion retailer Subdued (1,474Ssq ft) will open this spring, and in 2025, two new flagship Sports Direct stores featuring innovative customer experiences will arrive at both Westfield locations.
Across F&B there are some exciting updates, with the expansion of Soho Coffee & Kitchen opening in June following its relocation and upsize (1,682sq ft). The fashion led food and drink destination, EL&N London (2,996sq ft) will be opening in The Atrium in summer, and Kanada-Ya (1876sq ft) is set to open in late spring on the Southern Terrace, marking the growth of Westfield’s casual dining offer.
In the automotive space, electric car firm, BYD will be joining Westfield London in April, adding to the centre’s roster of car brands, many of which have a strong EV focus including Tesla and Genesis.
