EVENING AND ADMISSION IS FREE. THE WESTPORT WHEELS CAR SHOW IS ROLLING INTO KC THIS WEEKEND. TOMORROW THERE WILL BE MORE THAN 100 CLASSIC CARS THAT YOU CAN CHECK OUT. OUR TERISA WHITE IS LIVE NOW TO GIVE US A PREVIEW OF WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT. MARISSA. YEAH, WELL, I AM PREVIEWING THE WESTPORT AUTO SHOW, WHICH IS WESTPORT WHEELS. I JUST WANT TO SHOW YOU SOME OF THESE COOL CARS HERE. LOOK AT THIS. I WAS TRYING TO GUESS SOME OF THESE YEARS. NOW, THIS IS A 1970 CADILLAC WRIGHT. THAT’S RIGHT. I-70 EL DORADO. WOW. LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL THIS PAINT IS. I AM LOVING IT. NOW, THIS ONE I’M GOING TO. I’M NOT GOING TO LIE, THIS IS MY FAVORITE ONE THAT NOW, WHAT IS THIS? IT’S A 1967 MUSTANG GT FASTBACK. OH MY GOD, GT FASTBACK. AND WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? WHAT IS A GT FASTBACK MEAN? WELL, THEY HAD EXTRA PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS AT THE TIME. OF COURSE, I’VE DONE A LOT TO IT SINCE THEN. IF YOU WANT TO FIND OUT, COME BY THE WESTPORT WHEELS CAR SHOW. I’LL HAVE AN EXTRA SEAT WHERE YOU CAN SIT DOWN AND WE CAN CHAT. OH, I LOVE THAT. I LOVE HOW HE JUST PREVIEWED THAT. YOU SEE THAT NOW? THIS ONE. THIS ONE IS SO COOL. I LOVE THE CHROME ON THIS. WHAT? WHAT YEAR IS THIS? THIS IS 1960. 1960 CADILLAC. YES. WOW. AND YOU RESTORED IT, RIGHT? CORRECT. OH MY GOODNESS. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THIS CAR? OH GOSH, I DON’T KNOW. THE CHROME IS JUST AND THE THE REAR FENDERS JUST IT’S JUST BEAUTIFUL CAR THAT’S AMAZING. AND THEN ONE MORE, ONE MORE. OKAY. NOW WHAT IS THIS CAR? THIS IS A 1969 CADILLAC DEVILLE CONVERTIBLE. THAT IS AMAZING. SO IT IS GOING TO BE HERE TOMORROW. IT STARTS AT 11 A.M. UNTIL 3 P.M. If you’re looking to get out and about this weekend and classic cars are your thing, you might want to check out what’s going on in Westport. The Westport Wheels Auto Show is rolling back through the historic entertainment district Saturday for what organizers say is the second annual event. The free event invites the public to come explore an impressive collection of classic cars lined up along Pennsylvania Avenue, just south of Westport Road. “Westport Wheels is an opportunity that unites people around the interest in vintage cars,” said Lexie Boyd, Westport Events Manager. “Westport is all about bringing people together to have fun, further fueled by all the restaurants and shops within walking distance of the event.”The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Classic car owners are encouraged to preregister their vehicles here while space is available.A trophy will be handed out after a round of judging.
