What causes stress and anxiety? Here’s how some NCW entities are addressing mental health

NCW — April is National Stress Awareness Month, a declaration made back in 1996 by the National Health Institute (NIH), a clarion call for people to recognize stress and anxiety conditions in their personal lives and in the workplace, as well as the “effects of social media on youth mental health,” according to U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy in a Wall Street Journal article in March.

Murthy “issued an advisory last June (2023) on the effects of social media on youth mental health. Adolescents are susceptible to peer pressure, opinions and comparison, he said,” in the article.
