Celebrity guests appearing at 12th annual chili cook-off in Tequesta honoring veterans

The Tequesta Chili Cook-Off & Beer Tasting event is back this Saturday for its 12th annual celebration honoring war heroes.

With a military flyover, award ceremony, live music and over a dozen celebrity judges planned for the event on Main Street, the public is encouraged to come out as the proceeds will benefit five charities: Warriors Renewal Coalition, Operation 300, Southeast Florida Honor Flight, Wounded Veterans Relief Fund and Tequesta Friends of Public Safety, Inc.

Among those celebrity judges are two of CBS12’s News own.

Morning anchor Matt Lincoln and reporter Kara Duffy will lend their taste buds to 32 teams battling it out for the top chili spot.

Celebrate Manatee Moe’s Birthday and Manatee Awareness Month

The Manatee Center in Fort Pierce is celebrating Manatee Mascot Moe’s 27th Birthday. In addition to the birthday, the center will also embrace the significance of Manatee Awareness Month.

The day, dubbed ManateeFest, will be a fun day for the whole family to connect with the organizations that partner with the Manatee Center to ensure the well-being of the manatees and their habitat.

Juno Beach Craft Festival ‘By the Sea’

Juno Beach will be celebrating its 21st Annual Juno Beach Craft Festival.

The event will feature 120 artists and craft artists where home décor, original art, pet accessories, wearable art, jewelry, paintings and more will be displayed.

American Craft Endeavors is presenting the festival.

Mounts Botanical Garden of Palm Beach County

To celebrate Veterans Day, the Mounts Botanical Garden will be offering free admission and special discounts to serving family members of the armed forces and all military veterans with IDs.

The usual admission is $15 for nonmembers.

On Saturday, there will be a Spirit Walk Imagery Board Game on the Great Lawn with Blanche Williams.

And on Sunday, there will be Dogs Day in the Garden. You can see everything else they have planned on their website.
