What’s Next for Jason Momoa in DC After Aquaman 2?

While Jason Momoa is optimistic about his future in the DC Universe, he is not betting on it.

In an interview on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the 44-year-old actor talked about the possibility of a third Aquaman movie after the studio changed its plans.

Momoa said of his upcoming film, which will mark the “end of this DC Universe. Things have happened before. I guess, if people like it.”

He went on to say: “But there will always be a place for me at DC.”

The Baywatch star will return as the titular character Arthur Curry in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. It will be released in theaters on December 22.

The uncertainty surrounding his participation as Aquaman comes after the comic book franchise’s new co-CEOs, James Gunn and Peter Safran, announced a brand-new slate of planned DC films and TV programs, which will begin in 2015.

Variety also announced in October that Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Henry Cavill, and Jason Momoa will no longer play their individual characters in the superhero universe.
