CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WSET) — Just in time for Memorial Day, Whistle Express has partnered with Children of Fallen Patriots to help military children with scholarships. The business is also offering free car washes for military personnel.

The car wash company announced a partnership with CFP, a nonprofit organization that provides college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. Whistle Express said it would be donating $2,500 to support the nonprofit’s work.

The company said it also wanted to show its support and gratitude to all military members by offering a free car wash for veterans and active military personnel. Anyone with a military ID can take advantage of the free wash on Memorial Day, at any of the companies 120+ locations.

“At Whistle Express, we are deeply committed to supporting our military families and honoring the memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country,” said Jose Costa, CEO of Whistle Express. “Through our partnership with the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children left behind by our fallen heroes. And we hope to add a small win to the days of everyone who has served for our country with our free wash promotion on Memorial Day.”

The car wash company gathered at one of its Charlotte, N.C. locations to present the donation check to CFP.

“Children of Fallen Patriots gave me the financial assistance I needed, but it also gave me an incredible community of friends and mentors that have become family, and none of that would be possible without donors like Whistle Express,” said Abbie Witwer, Gold Star daughter of Lieutenant Commander Frank Witwer and CFP staff member. “It is truly an honor to work at Fallen Patriots now and help other students like me honor their parent’s legacy through education. I think my dad would be so proud of the work we do.”

Whistle Express wants to encourage everyone to take a moment of reflection this Memorial Day and thank their local heroes.
