The wife of San Francisco radio DJ Jeffrey Vandergrift, who has been missing since last Thursday, said, “Recently found personal information makes us think JV won’t be coming back.”
The San Francisco Police Department deemed the 54-year-old “at-risk” on Friday, hours after he was last seen at his residence. Natasha Yi did not explain the nature of the “personal information” obtained but stated that Vandergrift’s disappearance was not believed to be the result of foul play. “I’ve been in so much pain and fear, and I know you’ve all been scared and worried about JV, too,” she said in a statement released by Wild 94.9, the station where they both have shows.
According to KTVU, Vandergrift spoke publicly about his Lyme disease diagnosis in 2021, describing unpleasant symptoms such as brain fog, migraines, and blurred vision. Yi stated on Thursday that the outpouring of compassion for JV’s physical agony over the past two years has been astounding.
