AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is now equipped with a new trailer and UTV to help assist in animal rescue missions.
David Brown’s Sports Center’s team and a few anonymous donors who have a profound love for animals donated the UTV and trailer to the center.
“I have a love for animals and passion that I just could not resist helping these wonderful people. When I saw the post that Stephanie needed a trailer, I said that I got to jump in you know and go on board. It takes a village you know, and we had help getting the trailer from Jerry at Goodnight Trailers and so it was just great,” said Rosa Brown, owner of David Brown’s Sports Center.
These new additions will help rescue and release animals with speed and efficiency in remote locations.
During the recent wildfires and severe storms, rescuers were on foot while searching and helping injured animals.
“When you get into some of those areas, you can’t take your cars through there because you know, we have a lot of mesquite up here in the Texas Panhandle. And so having something like that allows us to get back in those remote areas safely where we’re not on foot and get to those survivors or the victims quicker is super helpful,” said Stephanie Brady, Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center founder.
Brady says obtaining the new UTV and trailer would not have been possible without the community and donation.
