Your vacation at “The White Lotus” has been extended.

For the past seven weeks, Mike White’s thrilling, Emmy-winning series, “The White Lotus,” has captivated audiences and social media with well-executed smirks, jaw-dropping monologues, meme-able quotes and … some brotherly love. But on Sunday, the Thailand adventure comes to an end.

Luckily, fans won’t have to wait too long for another season. HBO announced in January, ahead of season 3, that it had greenlit a fourth season.

So, where will the destination-style show take place? When will it premiere? And who will star in the new season? Here’s what we know.

Since the hit series premiered in 2021, “The White Lotus” has filmed in several picturesque travel destinations, such as Hawaii, Sicily and, most recently, Thailand. However, with a new season set for production, there’s a chance the buzz-worthy show could return to a former filming location.

In February, HBO Executive Vice President Francesca Orsi told Deadline the team would begin scouting for a new setting imminently, hinting a return to Europe was “likely.”

“We’re going on some (location) scouting in the next couple of weeks, so we’ll know soon,” Orsi told the publication. “I can’t really say where we’re going to land but chances are somewhere in Europe.”

White echoed the show’s scouting plans while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published April 2, stating there is “already pressure” from HBO for another season.

“There’s already pressure from HBO (for season 4),” he said. “When they have something they’re bullish on, they want to get it out there. We were supposed to start scouting in April, and I was like, ‘You guys, I haven’t been home in three years.’”

Wherever season 4 takes place, a Four Seasons hotel will most likely double as the White Lotus resort, just as it did for all previous seasons. HBO and Four Seasons also announced a formal partnership ahead of season 3, signaling that another hotel backdrop is likely for the upcoming season.

When would season 4 of ‘The White Lotus’ premiere?

It’s too soon to tell when season 4 will debut, given that the cast and location have yet to be determined, but if filming is anything like past seasons, fans could expect a new season within the next two years. According to Variety, production is eyeing a 2026 start date.
