The WNBA champions during the 2022 and 2023 seasons will now see their games air locally on the broadcast television station branded as “Vegas 34,” owned by The E.W. Scripps Co.
A multi-year agreement between The Las Vegas Aces and the company’s Scripps Sports arm was announced on Thursday afternoon. It puts the Aces on the same channel where National Hockey League fans can view the Las Vegas Golden Knights’ non-nationally televised broadcasts: KMCC-DT 34.
That’s a property that in 2009 became a Mega TV affiliate through an arrangement with Cranston Acquisition, its owner, and Spanish Broadcasting System. Cranston ended up in bankruptcy, and agreed to sell KMCC to Entravision Communications. In January 2020, Entravision spun KMCC to Ion Media, which was later acquired by Scripps.
Scripps Sports will televise all non-nationally exclusive Aces games. Financial terms were not disclosed.
In addition to game broadcasts, the Aces and Vegas 34 are also partnering to produce and air “In the Paint,” a weekly, 30-minute show featuring highlights, interviews and behind-the-scenes access to the 2025 Las Vegas Aces.
“We are beyond excited to partner with Vegas 34,” said Las Vegas Aces President Nikki Fargas. “Looking at the upward trajectory the Aces are on, winning two WNBA championships over the past three years and playing in front of sold-out crowds night after night, this partnership with Vegas 34 will allow even more fans the opportunity to watch this incredible team as we to strive for our third championship.”

Brian Lawlor, President of Scripps Sports and the former head of the company’s local media properties, added, “The Las Vegas Aces are one of the best teams in the WNBA, and their passionate fan base deserves to be able to see the Aces on the largest available broadcast platform. Scripps Sports couldn’t be more thrilled to bring the exciting action of Las Vegas Aces basketball to Vegas 34 as this team pursues its third WNBA championship,” said
Scripps also owns KTNV-13, the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas,; it will market but not air Aces games.
The Aces’ complete local television schedule on Vegas 34 will be made available once the full WNBA national broadcast schedule is announced. The regular season begins May 16.
