Each year, the Wolfe City Fall Festival and Car Show selects different organizations to support financially.

This year, proceeds from the event will go toward the Wolfe City ISD band program and the Wolfe City Public Library.

The festivities start at 7 p.m. on Sept. 27 at the Wolfe City Rodeo Arena with a free concert featuring music by area talents The Horton Family Bluegrass Band and country music artist Jayla DeMidio.

Then, bright and early the following morning, registration for the car show will begin at 8 a.m. with awards presented at 1 p.m. Registration to enter a vehicle in the show will cost $20.

In addition to the car show itself, Sept. 28 will also bring to the Wolfe City Rodeo Arena a cornhole tournament with a $20-per-team registration fee and a mini tractor pull for which tickets will cost $10 for adults with free admission for kids 12 and younger.

From noon to 3 p.m. on Sept. 28, The Horton Family and Jayla DeMidio will reprise their performances from the night before from noon to 3 p.m.

The event will also include a kids zone offering a variety of activities.

Wolfe City Rodeo Arena is located at 678 Farm-to-Market Road 1563.

While the September fall festival in Wolfe City won’t be a Halloween-themed event, the area plans to host one on Oct. 26.
