A woman and 4-year-old girl died Tuesday after they were hit by a car in Far North Dallas, police say.

About 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a major accident call in the 8300 block of Spring Valley Road, near Esperanza Road, where they found 26-year-old Joselin Paogada and the child, whose name was not released due to her age, had been hit by a vehicle.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and took them to a hospital, where they died of their injuries, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene, police said. As of Wednesday afternoon, no charges had been filed.
