ST. CHARLES — A 36-year-old woman walking on Interstate 70 was struck and killed by a car early Friday.
The crash happened just before 6:20 a.m., Missouri Highway Patrol said. A woman was driving a 2017 Dodge Caravan west on the highway when she struck Nakieta Sarzana of St. Charles, who was walking on the road.
Sarzana was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, police said.
Additional information has not been released by police.
Authorities first identified the victim as a juvenile.
