TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Officers are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian on Tucson’s southside.
TPD reported the incident on Twitter just before 2pm on Sunday. They said the crash happened at the intersection of S. 12th Ave and W. Santa Maria St.

Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternative route at this time and expect delays in the area.
Details of the crash are very limited, but we do know that an unidentified woman was struck by a car. The driver of the car that struck the woman remained on the scene and an investigation is under way.
TPD has not yet commented on the state of the woman that was hit.
