Woman hit by gunfire while working in food truck


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman was injured after shots were fired Wednesday evening in the Bordeaux area.

Metro police said officers were sent to the 3900 block of Clarksville Pike after receiving a call from a woman who said she had been shot. When officers arrived at the location, they found the woman with a gunshot wound to her lower leg.

The woman told police she was working in a food truck at the location and did not see anything when she was shot. However, a witness who captured the shooting on video told officers he heard shots being fired from a “possible Nissan Altima and a Toyota Corolla or Camry,” according to investigators.

Police said the witness told them the suspects were shooting near the gas pumps at the gas station across the street before they pulled onto Clarksville Pike and drove off northbound.

The woman was taken to Skyline Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

No other information was released.
