Women’s basketball falls at No. 19 Louisville


LOUISVILLE, Ky. — No. 19 Louisville defeated the Bellarmine University women’s basketball team 111-33 Thursday night in the KFC Yum! Center.

Eight players scored in double figures for Louisville (3-0), which led 24-6 after the first quarter and 48-9 at halftime over Bellarmine (0-3).

Junior guard Hayley Harrison led Bellarmine with 10 points and junior guard Hope Sivori added nine. Sophomore forward Paetynn Gray pulled down five rebounds for the Knights.

Louisville shot 62.1 percent from the field and hit 23 of its 26 free-throw attempts. Sydney Taylor paced the balanced attack with 15 points.

Bellarmine will play at 7 p.m. (ET) Tuesday at Murray State.
