WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SIGNS THREE STUDENT-ATHLETES TO NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT – Le Moyne College Athletics


Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women’s basketball team and head coach Mary Grimes announced the signing of three players in the 2024 recruiting class to National Letters of Intent. Current high school seniors Noelle Cabiness (Ashburn, Va./Briar Woods), Eli Clark (Ocean Township, N.J./Ocean Township) and Abby Misier (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown) will each join the Dolphins for the 2024-25 season and beyond.

Abby Misier – Hightstown High School / Team Sharp
Over the last three seasons with the Hightstown High School Rams, Misier has averaged a double-double of 13.2 points and 12.4 rebounds per game with 3.0 blocks and 1.4 steals.

During her junior campaign with the Rams in 2022-23, Misier tallied 19 points and 23 rebounds during a win over West Windsor-Plainsboro South, then she registered 18 points, 17 rebounds, four blocks and two steals during a win at Steinert.

During a 68-45 win over Trenton on January 27, Misier recorded 20 points, 14 boards, two assists, seven blocks and three steals.

The 6’4″ center contributed 19 points, 16 rebounds, and two blocks in a 68-57 win over Pennington on February 15.

Hightstown captured its second consecutive CVC Colonial Division title in 2022-23.

During the Rams’ state quarterfinal victory over Old Bridge, Misier contributed 17 points, 11 rebounds, six blocks and two steals to help lead Hightstown to a 60-42 win.

Following the season, Misier was named to the All-CVC First Team, and was selected to the First Team All-Area squad.

Misier played her travel basketball with Team Sharp.

“Abby will bring a fierce presence inside that will increase our depth as a team,” said head coach Mary Grimes. “Her upside is tremendous. Abby’s eagerness to learn and be great is what drew me to her in the first place and we are truly thrilled that she will be joining our team.”

Eli Clark – Ocean Township High School / NJ Shoreshots
Guard Eli Clark averaged 12.2 points, 4.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game during her junior campaign with the Ocean Township Spartans in 2022-23.

Clark is a four-year starter, a three-time team MVP, and a two-year captain for the Ocean Township varsity team.

In 2022-23 Clark helped lead the Spartans to the program’s first C-South Division Regular Season Championship since 1997.

During a 60-50 win over Manchester Township on January 7, 2023, Clark poured in 30 points with seven three-point field goals to go along with three rebounds and four assists.

Clark tallied 12 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds and three steals during a 60-47 win over Long Branch, then she registered 31 points, including 15-16 shooting from the free-throw line and four made threes, with three assists and four boards during a 68-59 overtime win at Wall.

During a 38-36 win over Red Bank Regional in the NJSIAA Tournament Semifinals, Clark contributed 19 points, a season-high nine rebounds, three assists, a block and two steals to help the Spartans earn a spot in the tournament final.

Following the season, Clark was named to the C-South All-Division First Team, the All-Shore Conference Third Team, and the All-Group 3 Second Team. Clark was also named Hoop Group 2023 Most Improved Player and was the MVP of the Blue Devil Holiday Tournament.

Clark played her AAU basketball with the New Jersey Shoreshots.

“Eli has an outstanding IQ for the game,” said Grimes. “Her ability to see the floor as a point guard or an off guard is amazing. Not to mention she can create her own shot. Eli already has an unbelievable work ethic that will mesh right in with our team and I am excited to see her growth as a player here at Le Moyne.”

Noelle Cabiness – Briar Woods High School / GTS Fusion
During her junior season in 2022-23, Cabiness helped lead the Briar Woods Falcons to a 22-4 overall record and a Potomac District Tournament Championship. Following the season, she was named to the Potomac All-District Second Team.

Cabiness was named Briar Woods Female Athlete of the Month in December of 2022. She recorded 11 points, five rebounds and seven blocks during a 41-36 win over Freedom on December 9, then she pulled down 13 boards with two blocks during a 57-47 win over Pulaski County on the 29th.

During a 61-51 win over the Riverside Rams on February 9 which helped the Falcons secure a first-round bye in the postseason tournament, Cabiness tallied 13 points and 14 rebounds

During the win over Woodgrove in the Potomac District Tournament Championship game, Cabiness recorded 14 rebounds, three assists and a block.

Cabiness was named Defensive Player of the Year for her Briar Woods squad. She averaged 8.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.5 assists per game for the Falcons.

Cabiness played her AAU basketball with the GTS Fusion.

“We are excited that Noelle will be joining our team next year,” said Grimes. “She is a person of high character and work ethic. Noelle is just scratching the surface and has a huge upside which we are looking forward to developing when she arrives on campus.”
