Women’s Tennis Closes Fall Season on Sunday at Harvard Invite

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Brown women’s tennis finished its fall season on the third day of the Harvard Invite on Sunday.

Winning their doubles match was senior Nora Lee and sophomore Vivian Miller (6-3).

“Even though the scoreboard wasn’t in our favor today, there are many positives we are taking from this match,” said Head Coach Lucie Schmidhauser. “Anne and Hannah competed really well in their singles matches and it’s great to see their improvement in just a few short months. Vivian had an extremely competitive first set against one of the best players in the league, but couldn’t quite keep up the same level in the second set.”

“Vivian had a great weekend, going 2-1 in singles and beating a nationally ranked player against BC. Vivian and Nora played great doubles today, executing their gameplan well as they stayed clutch in big moments. As we end the fall part of our season, I’m encouraged by our players’ growth as competitors. It is up to each individual player now to keep working hard so they can be ready when we return to competition in mid-January for the team portion of our season.”

Brown begins its spring season on January 21 at Boston College.
